Comments
First, when I saw this post today, I was surprised and delighted (I admit I've been clicking on your blog many times over the course of days just to see if there were any new comments or posts). Thank you so much for "accidentally" suprising me haha.
Second, I didn't expect chapter 8 to be so long. It's been hard for you. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing your translation next weekend.
Third, there is a separate chapter about Setsu and Aoi's quarrel???? I laughed lightly when I read that far, probably because the reason for the two of them arguing was kind of funny. I can also guess that the chapter about Ritsuko's death is chapter 12, it's a shame she's gone again, but that also pushes Setsu and Aoi closer together like you said.
In the end, I love you. Remember to take care of your health ♡♡♡♡
Well, Vol 9 Ch 8 is about 22 novel pages, but “only” 11 A4-size pages, hence it should be fine... the thing is, I have so many deadlines that I can only work on it nearer the weekend... but fingers crossed I have energy n time to work on my Utsushiyo duties n then go back to Kakuriyo in the evenings!
Yes, you’re correct, the chapter about Ritsuko-san is about her demise... which will be very sad to translate...
However, we also have chapters where Ranmaru and Ginji are featured, plus Tengu Hatori (my other favourite character, actually) and his love story... that is something I’m looking for... not to mention a funny quarrel between Setsu and Aoi! Before marriage, Setsu is already devoted to Aoi, I can only imagine that he’d bend over heels to make up after the quarrel! Hahahaha!
Haha, yes I am also looking forward to that part. Oh and the first pages of the first chapter is very romantic... as expected from a married couple... ^_^
Thanks a lot for the comments! I have been resuming vol 7 ch 4 two weeks ago, but then i got a bit sick (not covid), hence it was delayed. I've recovered now and should be able to resume translating for 3-4 hours or so per week. Send me thoughts and/or prayers please...so I can work on my deadlines in the daytime and have enough time to work on the translations at night ^_^
I haven't read vol 11 properly (I have it with me though), so I can't tell yet if Ginji is the new Master or not. It seems from the storyline, Setsu is still the Master, but perhaps Ginji would assume more responsibilities (due to him wearing the white fluffy "scarf" that Setsu had been wearing so far).
From browsing Ch 10, I think Ginji would have declared to Aoi that he loved her at some point, but he also let her go with that declaration. There is an upcoming chapter in vol 7 which is from Ginji's perspective, and i will translate it after vol 7 Ch 4.
wow it seemed a bit sad the last thing poor ginji but I would like to know if someone else finds out about these feelings or if odanna already knows it in any case I hope she finds someone else
now that I think about it in the anime they omitted this approach since they only seem like friends I expected more loyalty to the novels and I was a little disappointed in that part since they left me with many questions which I resolved by looking at spoilers and your page (it took me a long time to find it ) I don't know Japanese and on top of that they don't sell the novels in my country I want to cry TT God bless you so you can bring a lot of content soon
In the novel, Aoi never saw Ginji other than a very trusting friend. She loves him alright, as a friend, and as a confidant. I have a feeling that Ōdanna-sama knows that Ginji loves Aoi. However, the two ayakashi men trust each other, and Ōdanna specifically trusts that Ginji wouldn't do anything untowards. Also, Ōdanna narrated in Vol 9 that he actually let Aoi chose the love of her life. If Aoi does not love him, then the Master would let her go.
I miss Ginji-san...I had this tiny hope that Ginji and Aoi could be together...
Thank you so much for your visits and comment.
Ah yes... Ginji-san... I understand your feelings about this issue. I have said it several times; had Ōdanna-sama not shown his true self (and I mean his kind, sensitive self), had he not done so much for Aoi in the past and present, I would have still chosen Ginji and Aoi. But because of how caring Ōdanna really is, I mellowed down and love him and Aoi together. In this sense, apologies if it does leave you regretful.
However, Aoi sees Ginji as a confidant. She loves him, though as a friend, not as a woman loving a man. In that sense, though they’re not lovers, they are still very much important to each other... and I hope it does bring you some comfort...
The next chapter that I will translate after Vol 7 ch 4 is Ginji’s monologue. I hope it gives you the chance to meet him again...
