Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi

Anyway, I was going to jump directly to Vol 10 Ch 5 after Vol 9 Ch 1 , but Vol 9 Ch 2 contains very important info about Ōdanna-sama’s identity (which IMO is very interesting and concerning at the same time from the social justice perspective). Hence, below is my translation of Volume 9 Chapter 2 Part 1. Part 2 is “only” 20 novel-pages long (about 10 A4 pages), but I figure out, since the part I’ve translated contains a lot of important information, I’ll just post the first part now. Plus, I've kept you waiting for too long. I hope to upload Part Two in 2-3 weeks (got real-world deadlines in the meantime…).  There are two more chapters in Vol 9 that I want to translate soon because they bridge us to Vol 10 Ch 5 (of course, in an ideal world, I won’t skip any chapters, but I have very little time…). Volume 5 cover, art by Laruha, story by Yūma Midori There’s no translation update this week, but I’m working on Vol 9 Ch 2 (where Ōdanna finally told Aoi about some very important information). It’s a long chapter, so I need to split it into two instalments. Fingers crossed I can finish part 1 around Sunday 21 March or so.  To fill in the time, below is the list of chapters for the Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi novel Volume 5, which is also the last volume which has been depicted in the anime. I translated only one of them (Intermission 2 about Raijū vs Ōdanna), while the other two translated chapters were by Cherry Lining (which was translated from a Mandarin source).  Volume  5: あやかしお宿に美味い肴あります Delicious tapas^ are served at the Inn for the Spirits (I translated 肴 ‘sakana’ as ‘tapas’ because it actually means snacks served with alcoholic drinks in Japanese bars. This scene at the Kakuriyo anime OP is actually a spoilers... Below is my translation of Vol 9 Ch 1 to continue from Vol 9 Prologue (which has heavy spoilers). My original plan is that I will translate Vol 10 Ch 5 after this post, and then go back to finishing Volumes 7 and 8, none of which contains Ōdanna-sama.  However, it will be quite a while before we have any Ōdanna-sama chapters again (as in, at least one year). Vol 9 is basically about him, while Volumes 7 and 8 are about Aoi searching for him (but see my translation note too here). Thus, I wonder if I need to insert a translation of Vol 9 Ch 2 after this, then translate Vol 10 Ch 5. Let me know what you think.
