A belated update for early 2023

Apologies for the very, very late update for this beloved website, my dear friends. The year 2022 was a very busy year for me, and when the year end came, I was just too tired to do a lot of things. Then came 2023 and in late January I was immediately drawn back to my work.

However, I still love Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, will always love this work, and I think it's the best modern anime there is. I have been answering comments kindly dropped on this blog (thank you so much!) and I hope those replies give some assurance that I am still here. I am slowly slowly resuming my translation process of Vol 7 Ch 5. I still have about 20 novel pages to transcribe (about 10 A4 pages). I should be able to finish transcribing the chapter in two weeks, and then I will need another two weeks to translate the chapter.

Another encouraging news is that a dear reader has offered me to help translating the chapters, and I have accepted her offer. We will give you more updates on that matter. She and I will be dividing chapter workloads to speed up the translation processes.

Thank you very much for your presence, and I hope 2023 has been a good and healthy start for you all.

Thanks a lot, Chibi!

I'm trying to finish my deadlines because I'm going for a short break in two days. BUT I'm of course bringing my Kakuriyo novel with me, fingers crossed I can steal time to work on the translation. Thanks a lot for the patience!

Thank you, Unknown, for the comment! So glad that the series brings you much joy!

I haven't progressed much with vol 7 ch 5, I still have 10 novel pages to transcribe, but I hope I can pick it up again this weekend. Sorry for the delay, too many real life deadlines to tackle... But I miss having a new chapter online, so I hope I have more energy and time to work on it this weekend. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot Mary Williams for the visits and comment!

I'm down to 4 more novel pages of Vol 7 ch 5 to transcribe, and then I can start translating that chapter. Yay! SO sorry for the slow updates, real life has been very busy for me, but thanks a lot for being here!

Please do not say that you are sorry! You are giving us a gift, and have no obligation to do so! Please take time to take care of yourself, and do not fret -- life always comes first!!!

Oh, you're so sweet, Mary! Thanks again!

I am trying to take care of myself... and I promise I will prioritise my health first. But I love Kakuriyo as well, hence every time I finish even just one more sentence, I'm so happy. When I finish an extra page, I'm happier cos I'm getting closer to the finishing line!

Anyway, will keep you guys updated somehow when I finish translating - say - half of the chapter. Thank you!

Hi Unknown,

Thanks a lot for your lovely message. Guess what! I've finished transcribing vol 7 ch 5! Now, I "only" need to translate them. Translating is usually much quicker than transcribing, usually 2 weeks only. But since I have some intensive teachings to do, I might not finish translating before the end of May or early June. I'll try my best to finish it by the end of May, fingers crossed.

Thank you so much!

Hi Reza, thanks a lot for the visits and the encouraging comments! Truly appreciate it despite my astronomically slow updates...

I still haven't been able to shake off my work deadlines. I should be able to do that by this coming Thursday, and then I have another deadline by early July. However, in between, I should be able to steal time to translate. I've finished the transcribing and have translated about 2-3 pages into English. Fingers crossed I can finish everything by 8-9 July (2023 haha!).

Thanks again, truly appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your hard, much-appreciated work. I love this story and I'm still hoping that there will eventually be another season of the anime. My daughter and I both love it and have watched it many times together. As much as I want to know more, take your time if you need it. Don't exhaust yourself for this as much as you love the story too. Recent family health issues have made me realize how important health and well-being are.

That you take the time to do this shows what a special person you are. To take the time to answer the comments means a lot. I keep this page open in my browser and check it a couple of times a week. Thank you for what you do. The wait between translated books is long so it's no big deal to wait for your translations. Take care.

Terri, thank you soooo very much for the lovely comment! I love it so much that you AND your daughter share the love for this anime, it's such a precious thing! I'm so jealous, and so happy as well for you two!

I'm so sorry for the recent family health issues that you've had... and I hope that you find solace in this anime.

The truth is, I am in Japan right now, in an onsen ryokan... and the place really reminds me of Tenjin-ya and Ōdanna-sama. I miss him... I hope I shall be able to finish my deadlines soon too, so that I have time to resume the translations.

Thanks again and do check again late next week for an update. I think I shall post a short article to alert readers that a translation is coming up. Do take care of yourself, yeah!

Thank you so much!
I have pretty much read all your translation and it truly made my heart swell.
So happy to read that Setsu and Aoi finally be together. Just knowing that gave me the closure I badly need since looks like there no other season for the anime.

Thank you so much again for doing all the hard work ❤️🙏🏻
You made one fan here happy in her sleep.

Hope you wont mind be dropping time to time to read more of your work.
Take your time and take care

Hi Dhannylyn! Of course I don't mind you dropping by often, everyday even! Be my guest!

I'm still clearing up a deadline for this weekend (they seem to keep popping up), but I'm eager to resume by translation, so fingers crossed next weekend I will be a bit more free...

Thank you once again!
